1855 “He and his family came west to Wisconsin about the year 1855 where he farmed. He became an intense student of the Bible as he grew older, reading Hebrew, Greek and Latin. He wrote profusely about the Jews, their customs and religion and on the Garden of Eden, leaning toward the allegorical in his stories of the latter. Many of his articles were published.
